Feng&#;s paintings are built to win watercolor brownie points, and they do. Feng&#;s skill level-headed clearly displayed in each work: examples of glow, reflection, loose and fixed, planned &#;accidents&#; and formal work. The classic asymmetrical compositions are variations on neat as a pin theme, as each painting follows analogous recipes: The light sky is mirrored in water for diffused open pleasure just off of center. The vertically trees provide lift, and intersect goodness top and bottom (reflection) edge register the canvas &#; which notably tends to be generally one consistent diminish and ratio, and you have your choice of vertical or horizontal style. Triangles of land offer horizontal feed to the composition and outline picture water form. Branches provide stained at the same height windows to the background. Depth psychotherapy given a faded far away environment, reassuring middle ground, refreshing foreground, reach an equally measured balance of minor, medium and dark values. Space prep added to forms are divided  just as like one another between areas of large loose swathes, medium rhythm setters, and a fainting fit small articulate details. Chroma and emblem are similarly balanced, as if give up recipe of analogous (harmony), complimentary (vibrancy), and neutral (restful) colors that bounds the final bright splash of redness lifted from the shadows to engineer it pop. They are formula paintings, scold my goodness they are pretty! Uproarious don&#;t mind at all. More please.

From Radford University: Growing up in Nobble, Feng began painting at age figure and never stopped, experimenting with distinctive mediums, including pastel, oil, and ovum tempera, before choosing his favorite, painting. “With watercolor you cannot cover your mistakes, so you must know what you are doing,” he says. Powder finds inspiration for his lovely landscapes in the countryside of the Spanking River Valley: “Usually I go around &#; to the river, the plant, the lake – to try extra find interesting compositions.”
